1. Introduction

MedXJordan, LLC (“MedXJordan,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides its services through the MedXJordan website (the “Website”) and the MedXJordan mobile application (the “App,” and together with the Website, the “Platform”), facilitating connections between patients and medical providers, including doctors, hospitals, clinics, radiology and laboratory centers, and pharmacies. Patients and medical providers are collectively referred to in this Privacy Policy as the “User.”

We recognize the importance of protecting your personal information and are committed to processing it responsibly, transparently, and securely. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Platform, how we use, disclose, store, and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you regarding your personal information.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use. By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue your use of the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information Provided by the User

  • Account and Identity Information: full name, email address, phone number, password, and (for medical providers) professional credentials and license details.
  • Booking and Appointment Information: selected doctor, clinic, hospital, or pharmacy; appointment date and time; reason for the visit as entered by the User; and related communications.
  • Medical-Related Information: medical-related information voluntarily provided by the User in connection with medical services available through the Platform, including information submitted during appointment booking, consultations, or other medical-related interactions, where applicable.
    Payment information: According to the current Terms of Use, payments are processed through Visa and Mastercard (see Section 5.1). MedXJordan does not store complete payment card information.
  • Content you post: reviews, ratings, comments, images, or other media submitted to Public Areas of the Platform, as governed by our Terms of Use.
  • Content posted by the User: reviews, ratings, comments, images, or other media submitted by the User to the public areas of the Platform, as governed by the Terms of Use.
  • Communications: messages, inquiries, feedback, or support requests submitted by the User through the “Contact Us” email, or in-app support.

2.2  Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, pages viewed, and interaction timestamps.
  • Geographic location data: As disclosed in the current Terms of Use, the Platform may collect geographic location information, subject to user permissions and device settings, to improve services and enhance the user experience
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used on the Website to remember preferences and understand usage, as referenced in our existing cookie notice.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Information from medical providers, hospitals, clinics, or insurance companies you interact with through the Platform, related to your bookings.
  • Information from our payment service provider, Visa and Mastercard, related to completed transactions.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity;
  • Facilitate appointment bookings and connect you with medical providers, hospitals, clinics, radiology and laboratory services, pharmacies, and insurance companies;
  • Process payments through our payment service provider (Visa and Mastercard);
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • Improve, personalize, and troubleshoot the Platform, including enhancing user experience through available location-based features, where applicable;
  • Send administrative communications, such as appointment confirmations and reminders, and, where you have consented, promotional or informational messages;
  • Maintain the security of the Platform and prevent fraud or misuse, consistent with our Terms of Use;
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not use your medical-related information for advertising purposes.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the applicable laws and your location, we may process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent (for example, when you voluntarily provide medical-related information or opt in to receive marketing communications); the necessity of processing to provide our services and facilitate appointment bookings; our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Platform; and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

5. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

5.1 Payment Processing

Payments are currently processed through Visa and Mastercard. As stated in our Terms of Use, Visa and Mastercard may also collect certain information, including geolocation data, in accordance with their own privacy practices. Your use of Visa and Mastercard is subject to Visa and Mastercard’s Privacy Policy.

5.2 Medical Providers and Facilities

When you book an appointment or consultation, we share the relevant booking and medical-related information you provide with the doctor, hospital, clinic, laboratory, radiology center, pharmacy, or insurance company you have selected, solely to enable them to provide the requested service.

5.3 Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, customer support, and, where applicable, analytics services. These providers are required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to MedXJordan.

5.4 Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MedXJordan, our users, or the public, consistent with our Terms of Use.

5.5 Business Transfers

If MedXJordan is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy.

5.6 Public Areas

Any information you choose to post in Public Areas (such as reviews or comments) is visible to other users, as described in our Terms of Use. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical information in public posts.

6. Data Storage, International Transfers, and Security

Personal information is stored using secure hosting infrastructure. Where personal information is transferred across jurisdictions, MedXJordan intends to implement appropriate safeguards to protect such information in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Once personal information is no longer required for these purposes, it will be securely deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and legitimate business retention requirements;

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and better understand how the Platform is used. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect the functionality of certain features of the Website.

10. Children’s Privacy

Consistent with our Terms of Use, the Platform is not intended for, or directed to, children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone we know to be under that age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably practicable.

11. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services, including those of medical providers, advertisers, and other business partners. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites or services before providing personal information, as MedXJordan is not responsible for their privacy practices or content.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, operational practices, or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be posted on the Website and the App. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain your consent before such changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform following the publication of any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
