تم إنشاء مختبرات ألفا الطبية في عام 2001 من قبل الدكتور عماد الخطيب مع فرعين يقعان في قلب عمان. شركة مختبرات ألفا متخصصة في علم الأمراض والاختبارات الروتينية والاختبارات الجزيئية والمناعة، تشمل أقسام علم الأحياء الدقيقة ، علم المناعة ، أمراض الدم والكيمياء.

حصلت مختبرات ألفا الطبية على اعتماد المؤسسة العامة للغذاء والدواء لتوفير الفحوصات الطبية التي تخدم الدراسات الدوائية منذ عام 2017.
